The important bits, in plain English

Every confirmed booking is covered by a written agreement issued with your proposal — that agreement is the full contract. The summary below covers the terms that matter most when you are deciding to book.

Securing a date

A date is only reserved once the deposit shown on your proposal has been paid and the booking agreement accepted. Until then, dates remain open to other enquiries. The remaining balance is due by the date shown on your invoice — usually shortly before the event.

Changes and cancellation

If you need to move the date, we will always try to accommodate the new date first; if Lewis is available, your deposit simply transfers. Cancellation terms, including when the deposit is retained, are set out in the booking agreement you accept before anything is final.

On the day

Lewis arrives with everything the performance needs, holds public liability insurance, and uses PAT-tested equipment where electrical equipment is involved. Documentation is available for venues on request.
